Watch out potato lovers! You may have higher diabetes risk!

The next time you're thinking about super sizing
your fries, better think twice!

Here's a study that could change your mind when
it comes to consumption of high carb foods such as
potatoes, french fries in particular.

Potato lovers may have higher diabetes risk -

French fry eaters may have higher diabetes risk
because potatoes trigger rapid surges in blood

sugar that could damage cells.

Harvard University researchers found in a long-term
study of nearly 85,000 U.S. women, that those with
the highest potato intake had a modestly elevated risk of
developing type 2 diabetes.

Obese women, who are already at increased risk of the
disease, had the strongest link suggesting that heavy
potato consumption may pose a particular problem
for them.
